How should we record and pass down the stories of industrial labour and experiences?

The aim of this forum is to explore methods of recording (archiving, etc.) and disseminating historical experiences in particular industries, with a specific focus on coal mining in the UK-Japan context. We will focus particularly on the decline of the coal industry, the universality of labour processes, community formation (including the maintenance of labour and lifestyles), and specific archiving questions in a comparative frame. Through a focus on labour, this forum will examine both records (including the experiences of women\u2019s labour) and cultural heritage.<\/h4>\n
