This event is primarily intended for early career researchers who wish to actively publish their research results in English. We will invite panelists who have published academic books or articles in English to share their experiences. Participants can ask questions directly to the panelists in an informal atmosphere. This event is recommended for researchers who are considering publishing their research results in English in the future but have little or no experience yet, or who would like to learn more about the process and approaches to book publishing and article publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Event Details<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Language: English<\/li>\n<li>Date and Time: Thursday, March 7, 2024, 15:05-16:45 (100 minutes)<\/li>\n<li>Venue: Hybrid (Waseda University Toyama Campus 33rd Building, 6F, Conference Room 11 \/ Zoom link will be available for online participants)<\/li>\n<li>Participants: Graduate students of the Faculty of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Waseda University<\/li>\n<li>Capacity: 18<\/li>\n<li>Application deadline: Wednesday, March 6, noon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that the application will be closed when the number of applicants reaches 18.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Panelists<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\"><strong>Chika Takahashi (Associate Professor, Faculty of Law and Letters, Ehime University)<\/strong><br \/>\nPh.D. in Second Language Studies, Department of Second Language Studies, University of Hawaii at Manoa.<br \/>\nHer research interests include second language motivation and second language self-instruction. She is the author of Motivation to Learn Multiple Languages in Japan: A Longitudinal Perspective (Multilingual Matters).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Izumi Yamazaki (Associate Professor, Faculty of International Social Sciences, Gakushuin University)<\/strong><br \/>\nPh.D. in Economics and Education, M. Phil. in Economics and Education<br \/>\nHer research interests include African regional studies with a focus on education policy. Her research findings have been widely published in international journals including World Development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tomoko Yashima (Professor Emerita, Kansai University)<\/strong><br \/>\nPh.D. in Cultural Sciences, Okayama University<br \/>\nHer expertise spans applied linguistics and intercultural communication studies.
