This is a call for paper presentations in conjunction with SILS Art Project\u00a0that will take place on Sunday, 21 January 2024, at Ono Memorial Auditorium, Waseda University.<\/p>\n

\u3010Event Summary\u3011<\/h5>\n

Inviting filmmakers who emerged from SILS, including young filmmakers Keisuke Sakuma and Alysa Omori (also known as Makoto Kikuchi),\u00a0this art project presents several of their films, such as Funny (2021), Eatversity (2022), My Bitter Sweet Home (2021) and Tokyo Bhutan (2023).<\/p>\n

All Waseda University students and faculty members will be invited to analyse these films from multifaceted perspectives, including cultural studies,\u00a0social theory, philosophy, psychology, cultural anthropology, dramaturgy and film studies. Movie and Japanese pop-culture scholar Christophe Thouny from Ritsumeikan University will provide further analysis.<\/p>\n

The films are accessible to all Waseda University students and faculty members from Friday, 22 to Sunday, 31 December 2023.<\/p>\n
