R\u00e9sum\u00e9:\u00a0<\/u><\/b>Cette conf\u00e9rence a pour objectif de pr\u00e9senter les principales \u00e9tapes dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de la dialectologie du fran\u00e7ais au Qu\u00e9bec. Nous analyserons cette histoire suivant trois grandes \u00e9tapes : d\u2019abord, les premi\u00e8res collectes de donn\u00e9es r\u00e9alis\u00e9es \u00e0 la fin du 19e si\u00e8cle par des philologues; ensuite, l\u2019\u00e2ge d\u2019or de la dialectologie qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise, avec la publication des grands atlas linguistiques dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 et 1980; enfin, \u00e0 date plus r\u00e9cente, les travaux consacr\u00e9s \u00e0 la perception des accents r\u00e9gionaux. Nous prendrons \u00e0 t\u00e9moin les r\u00e9sultats des travaux ayant le plus marqu\u00e9 la dialectologie qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise pour nous interroger sur certaines questions r\u00e9currentes dans cette discipline : quelle est l\u2019ampleur de la variation r\u00e9gionale du fran\u00e7ais au Qu\u00e9bec? Comment a-t-elle \u00e9volu\u00e9 \u00e0 travers le temps? et que nous apprend-elle plus largement de la dynamique sociolinguistique qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise?<\/div>\n

Summary<\/u><\/b>:\u00a0 This talk aims to present the main stages in the evolution of French dialectology in Qu\u00e9bec. We will analyze three major phases: 1) the first data collection carried out in the late 19th century by philologists; 2) the golden age of Qu\u00e9bec dialectology, marked by the publication of major linguistic atlases in the 1970s and 1980s; 3) finally, more recently, studies focused on the perception of regional accents. We will draw on the findings of the most influential works in Qu\u00e9bec dialectology to reflect on some recurring questions in this field: what is the extent of regional variation in French in Qu\u00e9bec? how has it evolved over time? and what does it tell us more broadly about the sociolinguistic dynamics of French as spoken in Qu\u00e9bec?<\/div>\n
