{"id":8826,"date":"2024-12-19T14:44:24","date_gmt":"2024-12-19T05:44:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fire\/gsiccs\/?p=8826"},"modified":"2024-12-19T15:12:56","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T06:12:56","slug":"report-of-professor-deteys-research-activities-november-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/fire\/gsiccs\/news\/2024\/12\/19\/8826\/","title":{"rendered":"\u3010Report\u3011Professor Detey co-organized the (I)PFC2024 International Conference in Paris and co-presented a paper with Dr Fontan about the Functional Load of phonemic contrasts in French"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Professor Detey co-organized the (I)PFC2024 International Conference in Paris and co-presented a paper with Dr Fontan about the Functional Load of phonemic contrasts in French <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In November 2024 (28-29), Professor Detey Co-organized the <a href=\"https:\/\/cblle.tufs.ac.jp\/ipfc\/index.php?id=105\">(I)PFC2024 International Conference<\/a> in Paris (Maison de la Norv\u00e8ge, CIU) and co-presented a paper with Dr Fontan about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/386359007_Exploitation_de_la_base_Lexique_pour_estimer_la_charge_fonctionnelle_des_contrastes_phonemiques_du_francais_application_a_l'enseignement_du_FLE\">the Functional Load of phonemic contrasts in French in the <em>Lexique<\/em> database and its application to French language teaching<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The (I)PFC conference is one of the leading conferences in French corpus-based (inter)phonology in the world, and it has been taking place every year since 2003 (except for 2020-2021). It is now co-organized by the current Board of Directors of the PFC research program, Helene N.
