She is the author of\u00a0<em>Contemporary Romanian Cinema: The History of an Unexpected Miracle\u00a0<\/em>(2013)\u00a0and\u00a0of\u00a0<em>Meaning in Film:\u00a0Relevant Structures in Soundtrack and Narrative<\/em>\u00a0(1992) and\u00a0has co-edited\u00a0<em>Revisiting Film Melodrama<\/em>\u00a0(2014),\u00a0<em>New Perspectives in Sound Studies\u00a0<\/em>(2004) and\u00a0<em>La chanson dans les cin\u00e9mas d\u2019Europe et d\u2019Am\u00e9rique Latine<\/em>\u00a01960-2010 (2019). She has published\u00a0widely on Romanian cinema -most recently chapters of\u00a0<em>The Global Auteur<\/em>, (2016) and\u00a0<em>The New Romanian Cinema<\/em>, (2019) on emotions and music in films, the aesthetics of silent melodramas, the cinema of Michelangelo Antonioni.
