Also, I particularly chose GSICCS because I have participated in an exchange program at SILS a few years back and from then on, I have always wanted to continue my graduate studies here at Waseda where there is a great faculty members as well as pleasant campus environment. I have always been interested in studying more deeply about cultural theories and here at GSICCS, in Professor Aso\u2019s \u2018Culture and Translation\u2019 seminar, I have been taught to further enhance my knowledge regarding issues such that of: race and identity, gender, psychoanalysis, or postcolonial studies, to name a few. All of which would help me carry out my research on the topic of\u00a0Demythifying Madame Butterfly Stereotypes. After completing GSICCS graduate program, I would like to continue the PhD program to further develop my Masters thesis.
