We want to both encourage high-quality submissions to the article and also help our graduate students develop the skills necessary to place their research in refereed publications. To that end, we will discuss some of the do\u2019s and don\u2019ts of publishing, including some guidelines specific to The <em>Journal\u00a0of the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies<\/em> and some lessons that will be of general value for any effort to publish their work in scholarly venues.
