They were invited to Tokorozawa Campus to participate in the Gerontology Study Tour hosted by the Faculty to learn about the developing of the Japanese nursing care system, equipment and facilities. The study tour was coordinated by Professor Kase of the Faculty of the Human Sciences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 1:<\/strong><strong>\u3000<\/strong><strong>Monday, May, 13<sup> th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>The students arrived at Tokorozawa campus in the morning and participated in the orientation. At first, Prof. Qun Jin, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of the Human Sciences, delivered a welcome speech and Prof. Kase gave an overview of the Study tour. Rehabilitation Center, Tokorozawa city, Saitama and not only did they have a chance to view the cutting-edge technology helping the people in need of rehabilitation, but they also learned how important it is for the patients to become independent.<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, they took lectures given by professors of the Faculty of Human Sciences.<br \/>\n\u25cfSocial Long-term Care for May 15<sup> th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>In the morning, they visited the Tokorozawa Royal Hospital, Tokorozawa Royal Hill (Long-term care facilities), Royal Garden\uff08Special nursing home for the elderly\uff09and Royal Garden Care House (Home for the aged moderately-priced), Tokorozawa city, Saitama and learned the difference in long-term care facilities and the patients\u2019 and caregivers\u2019 support system between Hong Kong and Japan.<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, they attended a Workshop: \u2018Memory Book for People with Dementia\u2018, provided by Adjunct Researcher Yamamura and cooperated by \u2018Peer Tokoro\u2019, an elderly volunteer group. They made their own memory book with the Peer Tokoro members and learned how it can help people with dementia bring back their memories.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-3 professor of the Faculty of Human Sciences.<br \/>\n\u25cfBuilding Evacuation Safety in an Aging Society, provided by Prof. Sano<\/p>\n<p>They attended the Exchanging and Sharing Session where students of the Faculty of Human Sciences and CUHK made presentations for each other.<br \/>\n\u25cfEvacuation Planning with Emergency Signs in an Underground Station by Mr. Jun KUBOTA<br \/>\n\u25cfConsideration of additional sign at railway stations emphasizing the volume of information and elements of design, presented by Mr. Masataka YASUE<br \/>\n\u25cfHong Kong Elderly Services, presented by Mr. Tak Yuen CHEUNG<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, they joined each Japanese student group in Prof. Kase\u2019s class, asked questions and shared the ideas of the differences in the nursing care
