Professor Akira Usui received B.A. in Commerce, M.A. in Commerce, and Doctor of Commerce from Waseda University. He joined Waseda University in 2003. He is a former President of Japan Accounting Association, a former President of the Accounting and Economic Association of Japan, a former President of Business Analysis Association, a former President of the Japanese Association for Research in Disclosure, and a former Director of Japanese Association for International Accounting Studies. He is an Honorary President of the Japanese Association for Research in Disclosure.<\/p>\n
