Professor Aiba received LLB from University of Tokyo in 1976. After working for Taiyo Kobe Bank (currently Mitsui Sumitomo Bank) for six years, he joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 1982. During his tenure at BCG, he worked in Tokyo Office (1982-89, 90-93) and in Dusseldorf Office (1989-90). He became partner and vice president of BCG in 1990. In 1994 he joined the faculty of Osaka International University. In 2002, he joined WASEDA Business School as professor. He has a lot of experiences as independent board director and statutory auditor of prominent companies in Japan.
