Waseda University Open Campus was held on August 1 and 2, 2026. As part of the School of Commerce program, five current students in the Global Management Program (GMP)\u2014Kenji Aoto, Milana Bashutskaya, Toshiki Miyasaka, Ayaka Sugiyama, and Yusuke Ozawa, gave presentations introducing the GMP. On both days, the presentations attracted a large number of high school students and their families, filling both the main venue and an additional room where the presentations were broadcast live.<\/p>\n

The presentation aimed not only to introduce the distinctive features and appeal of the GMP in the students\u2019 own words, but also to provide participants with a clearer and more concrete picture of learning opportunities and experiences available through the program.<\/p>\n

Preparations began approximately one month before the Open Campus. Through repeated rehearsals and discussions, the students refined the structure and content of their presentation, while also working on delivery, gestures, and slide design. GMP faculty members also attended the rehearsals and provided objective feedback. Their comments were incorporated into subsequent revisions, helping to make the presentation clearer and more effective.<\/p>\n

Despite extensive preparation, the students were initially struck by the size of the audience when they took the stage. Once the presentation began, however, the audience listened attentively throughout, encouraging the students to share as much as possible about the GMP and their own experiences in the program.<\/p>\n

The latter part of the presentation featured a panel discussion on GMP classes, programs, and student life. Drawing on their own experiences, the students shared stories and insights that could only come from those currently studying in the program. The discussion helped participants gain a more immediate sense of the GMP learning environment and student experiences, including aspects that are difficult to communicate fully through written materials alone.<\/p>\n

Through this Open Campus presentation, it is hoped that high school students and their families gained a better understanding of the GMP, what it offers, and the learning opportunities available through the program, while also developing an interest in the School of Commerce at Waseda University and the GMP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
