Reflecting on Activities and Exchanging Perspectives<\/h4>\n

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 18:00 to 20:00, members of the 2025 GMP Student Committee (SC) gathered for an annual activity review meeting to reflect on their work over the past year and discuss the transition to next year\u2019s committee. The meeting was held in the presence of GMP Director Professor Nakaide, along with Professors Hirota and Yago.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the SC chair and vice chair, together with representatives from each functional team, including publicity, career development, event planning, and study trip coordination, presented detailed activity reports. The discussion went beyond simply reporting achievements: each team shared both accomplishments and challenges identified through their activities over the past year and offered concrete, constructive suggestions on how best to pass their experience and responsibilities on to the next cohort, who will lead GMP activities in the coming academic year.<\/p>\n

Participants also engaged in active discussion on how the GMP can continue to develop and improve in the future. As key contributors to the program\u2019s operation, SC members exchanged thoughtful perspectives on its future direction. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the significance of the committee\u2019s efforts over the past year and to ensure that the knowledge and experience gained will be effectively passed on to the next SC team.<\/p>\n

Toward the end of the meeting, faculty members expressed their appreciation for the SC\u2019s dedication over the past year and offered warm words of encouragement for the members\u2019 future endeavors. In addition, Professor Nakaide presented each SC member with a certificate of appreciation, marking the successful completion of their year-long service and providing participants with a strong sense of achievement.<\/p>\n

Looking Back on a Year of SC Activities: Reflections from Mizuki Ueda (Fourth-Year GMP Student, SC Chair)<\/h4>\n

As my one-year term with the SC comes to an end, reflecting on our activities over the past year, I feel that my experience as committee chair was truly like a microcosm of real-world professional life.<\/p>\n

In many ways, I feel that the SC\u2019s position is similar to that of middle management in a company. Although it is a student organization, we often found ourselves working between multiple stakeholders, including faculty members, alumni, and corporate partners, engaging in multifaceted coordination. Through these interactions, I came to appreciate firsthand the challenges of building relationships and reaching consensus among stakeholders with differing roles and perspectives. At the same time, leading an organization of roughly 120 students proved to be a responsibility far greater than I had initially imagined.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As members of the program\u2019s third cohort, we are part of the GMP while it is still in its formative stage. Rather than following an established path, students and faculty have worked together to build the program through continuous trial and refinement. This experience of co-creating the program has become an invaluable asset for us.<\/p>\n

Drawing on the perspectives and experience gained through my work with the SC, I hope to continue growing into a professional capable of contributing on the global stage in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
