Admission Method of WBS
With the aim of accepting promising individuals not only from Japan but also from all over the world, Waseda Business School (WBS) screens all applicants while placing particular importance on a sense of mission and motivation.
The WBS Admissions Office comprehensively evaluates applications based on such factors as research plans, certifications, interviews, etc.

Applicant Qualifications

Prospective applicants seeking admissions to Waseda Business School (WBS) must satisfy the requirements set forth below no later than the beginning of the quarter in which an applicant wishes to matriculate. In addition, after notification of acceptance by the Admissions Office, the applicant must complete all the required procedures for entry to WBS.

Two-year MBA program :
Applicants must fullfill ONE of the following requirements. Work experience of three years is recommended. (This is not a requirement for application since such experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.)
  1. Those who have graduated or are scheduled to graduate from a university by the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate.
  2. Those who have received a Bachelor's Degree from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation or are scheduled to receive such degree by the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate.
  3. Those who have completed 16 years of standard school education overseas or are scheduled to complete such education by the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate.
  4. Those who are designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate.
  5. Those who have been enrolled at a university for more than three years (or have completed 15 years of school education overseas or are scheduled to complete such education by the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate) and have been recognized by WBS as having earned a specified number of credits with an excellent academic record.
  6. Those who have been recognized by WBS as possessing academic credentials superior to those of university graduates through an individual entrance requirements screening process and are scheduled to reach 22 years of age by the entrance period that applicants wish to matriculate.

* MBA One-Year Program and MOT Program are conducted in Japanese language only.

Number of Students Admitted

The total number of students admitted to the Full-time MBA Program and the Evening MOT Program is expected to be 135.
The figure is aggregate number representing the annual admissions.
