The graduate school of social sciences is the place that covers wide-ranging areas of special study, including political sciences, economic sciences, philosophy and history. Not only for under graduate students, but also for the students of all ages and students who have lot of social experiences attend this school.

In order to cope with globalization, our school has actively accepted foreign students since 2007. I enrolled in this course as a foreign student in April 2007, so I've been studying here for three years. After completing my master’s course, I took a doctor’s course and have been studying the modern history of Japan-China relations. Here, not just studying my specialized area, but also I can take part in classes which I’m interested in. These experiences make it possible for me to consider things not only from the standpoint of my major field but also from various angles and views when I write my thesis and also it gives me many hints. And in addition, my professors and seniors at this school give proper advice and guidance to me, and working students also tell me many stories of social experiences and give me a lot of ideas. My concerns about studying abroad were removed by being surrounded by these collaborators and I could concentrate on my study. Naturally, many foreign students have gathered around me. The number of foreign students who aim to study at the graduate school of social sciences is increasing year by year.

I think that university is the place for absorbing a broad range of knowledge. I’d like to actively pursue my interest in learning and study.
