This exhibition will display beautifully painted windscreens (known as byōbu-e in Japanese), featuring a tree grove and a Xuyou-and-Chaofu screens from the early Edo period and a landscape screen from the Meiji period.

 

Exhibition Information

  • Dates: May 11 (Wed) – June 25 (Sat), 2016
  • Place: Waseda Aizu Museum 1F, the Shigenori Tomioka Collection Room
  • Hours: Mondays – Saturdays, 10AM – 5PM (admission until 4:30PM)
  • Closed: Sundays and national holidays
  • Free admission
