Skate Club
Ms. Yui Sakai (Fourth year student, School of Sport Sciences)
* Will participate in the women's speed skating 500m and 3,000m relay
Ms. Yui Sakai Participating in the Olympics is one of my major goals, as well as my dream. But I don't want to have my appearance there be nothing more than an appearance on a stage that I dreamed of for a long time - I want to see how much I can battle against the world and to fight on with the spirit of a true challenger. I received blessings from many people when I decided to participate in the Olympics. I keenly felt how many people I've been supported by, including my family, friends, and people involved in the sport. I hope to do my best to live up to this support!

Ski Team
Mr. Akito Watabe (Third year student, School of Sport Sciences)
* Will participate in the Nordic combined
Mr. Akito Watabe Lately, the things that I've wanted to do (in a technical way) have begun to materialize in form and results, and I'm little by little coming closer to the person I want to be. This is my second time participating in the Olympics, and I want to concentrate on doing what I need to do to avoid losing sight of myself and only pursuing results. I think that the results, themselves, will naturally come in the end, so I ask for your support!

Ms. Biba Sakurai (Second year student, School of Sport Sciences)
* Will participate in the women's speed skating 500m, 1,000m, 1,500m, and 3,000m relays
Ms. Biba Sakurai I kindly ask for your support, and plan to devote myself to winning medals and to making close emotional connections with many people!

Ski Team
Ms. Michiko Kashiwabara (First year student, School of Sport Sciences)
* Will participate in the women's distance Nordic skiing
Ms. Michiko Kashiwabara It was decided that I would participate in the Olympics during the intercollegiate period, and so honestly it doesn't seem quite real yet. But I am full of gratitude to everyone involved at the school for the fact that I can devote myself to training in a wonderful environment like the Waseda Ski Team, and for the fact that I get to participate in the Olympics. It's my first Olympics, so I want to do all I can and to put my best effort forward so that I can enjoy skiing in my own way without being overwhelmed by what's going on around me.

Ski Team
Mr. Kai Ozaki (Fourth year student, School of Education)
* Will participate in the men's moguls freestyle skiing
Mr. Kai Ozaki It feels like I'm finally standing at the start line. I was at the World Cup while my companions in the Ski Team were participating in the intercollegiate, so it felt like we were fighting together. I had good results and it was decided that I would participate in the Olympics, so I was really happy. I've not yet reached the level where I can approach the top position worldwide, so I hope to make adjustments during the time left and aim for a position that's even a bit above my current one!
