Waseda's Brand-New Fitness Studio, Refresh Studio! On May 11 (Monday), a fitness facility with a panoramic view of Okuma Garden was opened on the first floor of Okuma Garden House. This newly opened "Refresh Studio" will provide a casual place to freely perform light exercise routines. As you exercise using the facility's balance balls, yoga mats, stretch poles, and handgrip dumbbells, you can gaze out upon Okuma Garden, imagining yourself surrounded by luscious forest. If you don't have enough physical activity scheduled into your daily routine, then starting gradually and building strength little by little is the best way to maintain your health. And people who don't enjoy strenuous exercise can workout at their own pace while watching yoga and stretch instructions being played from DVDs. Furthermore, you can use our health management sheet that utilizes body composition measuring devices in order to record your individual progress and plan out a strategic exercise routine. In addition to individual stretches, our facility offers 60-minute yoga and power yoga training sessions from pro instructors. These sessions are held about 2-3 times a week and are around 60 minutes in length (no cost is required in addition to the standard registration fee). Come and give them a try! Please register at the Training Center at the Student Union Building B2. Please note that registration can not be processed at Refresh Studio. Hours vary according to day, so please refer to the table at right. ■How to register for Refresh Studio membership ■Refresh Studio hours (Tentative) Notes
