A garden site of a residence of Hosokawa family, which now belongs to Bunkyo Ward, it is a purely Japanese-style samurai garden which uses undulations of land. The entrance building “SHOSEIKAKU, which was constructed in the Taisho Era, was a studying place of the Hosokawa family.

Access 7 minutes walk from Toei Streetcar (Toden) Arakawa Line Waseda Station. Cross the Kanda River using Komatsuka Bridge and go left.

Open 9:00-17:00 (until 16:30 November to January)
