Waseda Festival 2007, or Waseda-sai 2007, is the biggest University event in Japan. There are over 400 clubs and groups who will be showing their activities, attracting over 160,000 visitors from all around Japan. It will be held at Nishi-Waseda Campus and also Toyama Campus.
The Waseda Festival 2007 will be held for two days, Nov.3 and 4, starting from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be exciting street performances, many food stalls, and official Podcasting during the two-day festival.
This year's festival will be eco-friendly. All the trash that will be thrown out during the two-day festival will be sorted to 9 different kinds to promote recycling resources as much as possible.
There will also be a support team for the handicapped persons who will be visiting Waseda University during the two festive days.
To promote the festive atmosphere, countdown events will be held at noon from Oct.30 (Tue) to Nov.1 (Thur) in front of Building 3. A promotion contest will be held on Oct.30, between club leaders, exciting performance shows will be held on Oct.31 and on the last day, a fun parade will be held, ending the event by singing Waseda's alma mater and Konpeki-no-sora.

If you are interested in science and engineering, the Riko-ten, or Science and Engineering Exhibition are the best place to visit. There will be many science experiments children can enjoy and learn. The most popular experiment is making a small rocket and actually let it fly. Riko-ten is aimed to show children the fun of science and engineering. An, of course, food stalls will also be there to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite.
