Director Kouji Wakamatsu invited Tasuku to go on a trip with him, but Tasuku declined the offer because he would have to repeat that high school year. When he took a look at the script, he couldn’t let go of it. He was 17 years old at the time. He was the same age as the protagonist of the movie and played the role of a teenager who kills his mother. How do young teenagers today deal with their many problems? There were many scenes where he earnestly rode his bike and dangerously escaped, but there were few lines. This movie is based on an actual juvenile crime that took place in 2001. “I wasn’t able to truly understand the protagonist’s desire to kill his mother,” Tasuku seriously muttered.
In the movie “Beautiful Summer Kirishima,” he played the role of Director Kazuo Kuroki when he was a boy. The air of ennui he showed and his natural performance won great appeal, but he said, “I put all my energy in the lines. My father was practicing the lines at home, so I thought just I better get the lines straight.” Tasuku`s parents are Actor Akira Emoto and Actress Kazue Tsunokae. His parents advised him “to always greet everyone at the shooting spot.” When the topic of his family came up in conversation, he unintentionally smiled. You can tell he grew up in a good environment in the way he speaks.
Nervousness reaches its peak when he hears the word, “Action!” “The feeling of tension that I can’t experience in daily life has become a pleasant one. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to act, so I’m very happy to do so. But I am a college student and I do want to attend school. It is because I do this kind of work that I am able to cherish my daily life.” Along with his pureness, Tasuku brings on a certain drifting feeling, which is peculiar to him
“In the future, I would like to be a movie director. While I’m still at school, I’d like to make a movie with my college friends. I am a great fan of Director Higashi Morisaki, and have even written him a fan letter. He is a big man and you can feel the director's kindness and anger though his works.” Tasuku said again and again that he is “happy,” and said the same amount of times that he “doesn't know.” Just like a balloon that flies freely in the sky, I strongly felt freedom envelop Tasuku.
