Do you know what"sexual health"is?

"Sexual Health" means thinking about various things--loving somebody and wanting to be as close to them as we can, or the fact that we have the power to become parents and need to make good use of this power or energy. We must take good care of our health, and acquire the power to maintain it. If you feel anxious about your health in general, you consult a specialist, and the same thing applies to sexual health as well.

Are the following attitudes sexually healthy?

"Sexually transmitted diseases are caused by having sex with lots of different people. We are fine because we are in an exclusive relationship."
"I am fine because I always take contraception pills."
"I once had a sexually transmitted disease, but I am fine now, because I went to the doctor."
"My girlfriend said that it was her "safe day". But because I had forgotten to bring a condom, I pulled out before I came just to be sure.

Just a minute!!

---Love will not protect you against sexually transmitted diseases. Enjo-Kosai (young women having intercourse with middle-aged men in exchange for money or gifts) and sex with prostitutes are not the only dangerous behaviours. Even if you have medical treatment, you might get infected unless your boyfriend or girlfriend gets treated too.

--- Did you know that there is no such thing as a "safe day" no matter how carefully you calculate?

---The pill will keep you from getting pregnant, but it won't protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.

To all of you good-looking and intelligent people

Don't have sex when either of you is reluctant. Make sure you have a condom, and always use it from the beginning. These are the basic principles of sexual health for both men and women.
