Research Objective

We are aiming for a research and development on various kinds of system LSIs or application SoCs for coming ubiquitous and ambient information society, where we can easily access any information at "anytime" and "anywhere" with "safe" and "comfortable". We think important application fields are knowledge processing (recognition, data mining, and so on), image processing (image coding, computer graphics, and so on), security processing (encryption, virus detection, and so on) and network processing (protocol, adaptive network, and so on).

To achieve both high-level performance and flexibility, we employ a system LSI platform with not only a processor and a memory but also a highly parallel PE array and a reconfigurable logic element. We also fully utilize state-of-the-art circuit and CAD technologies.
