3.Prof. Grainger’s talk

Prof. Grainger from University of Utah, who is also a member of ASMeW Evaluation Committee (*1), visited ASMeW. Prof. Osaka reported the result of mid-term evaluation of ASMeW by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) as well as the future plans of ASMeW. Advices and comments were given by Prof. Grainger from the stand point of operating a global research center.
The young ASMeW researchers who presented their recent consolidated research achievements also received valuable advices from Prof. Grainger. Prof. Grainger also gave his talk on tissue engineering.

(*1) ASMeW Evaluation Committee
The evaluation committee consists of experts outside of Waseda University including members from abroad. The committee usually meets once a year to review and advise on the direction of the research and management at ASMeW.
