Prof. Isao Shimizu coordinated the visit of six researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. After the introduction of ASMeW by Assoc. Prof. Yoshinori Yamaguchi, two current research topics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one on the improvement of garden products using gene transfer and the one on roadside tree planting for co-existence of human being and cities were presented by Prof. Cai and Assoc. Prof. Wag, respectively.
After the presentations, we were able to have active discussions based on each research topic and its progress. Researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University showed interests not only to the research but other activities at ASMeW. There were lots of questions from the visitors during the SOL tour and they seem to deepen their understanding further on the ASMeW research.
