Takaishi Memorial Swimming Pool (in Toyama Library Building)
To use this swimming pool, you must take a medical examination and an electrocardiogram checkup conducted by the university each year (You may also take a medical examination at a medical facility other than that of Waseda University.) and register at the office of the Athletic Center. To check eligibility or other details, please ask your administration contact person or visit the web site.
Gym - Training Center (in Waseda University Student Center)
The Training Center, located in the second basement of the Waseda University Student Center, has various training equipment, changing rooms and shower rooms. The registration fee of 2,000 yen entitles you to use the gym for one year from the date of registration. In addition to registration, you are required to attend an orientation and must have taken a medical examination within the last year in order to use the gym. The gym is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and to 6:00p.m. on Sundays, national holidays and during summer, winter, and spring vacations. There are coin-operated shower rooms (100 yen for 5 minutes).
The necessary documents for registration are:
- Your "Personal Health Card" or medical certificate
- A photograph (3 cm x 2.5 cm)
- Your ID card
- A receipt (tesuuryo shunosho) for a payment of 2,000 yen (for a one year registration)
