From Studentコンセントレーション04Concentration ProgramLearning at SILSProfessorBACON, Paul Martynベーコン　ポール・マルティン2016年4月入学湘南白百合学園高等学校 卒業OKAMOTO, Saya岡本 沙椰Systematic disciplinary pathways to expand your academic potentials.ＳＩＬＳには、幅広く学ぶだけでなく、専門的に学ぶ制度・環境が用意されている。The SILS Concentration system allows students to pursue greater specialization, and to gain accreditation for this focus. The system shows students how to plot disciplinary pathways through the curriculum, gaining a firm understanding of some academic disciplines as a basis for the inter-disciplinary liberal arts approach. A Concentration is also useful for students when applying for jobs, or to graduate schools, allowing them to demonstrate the foundational disciplinary knowledge that they have obtained in the most positive and focused way to potential future employers and professors.コンセントレーションを修得したのは、自分の専攻を決めることで４年間かけて学びを深めたいと思ったからです。国際教養学部の強みはリベラルアーツで、理系文系問わず幅広く学べることです。しかし４年間かけて学ぶ一つの軸も持ちたいと思い、一番興味のあった国際関係をコンセントレーションに選びました。１年次から４年次まで段階的に授業が展開され、必要単位数を取ることで修了として認められます。毎学期このコンセントレーションを基に履修を組むことで、留学から帰ってからも国際関係学を一貫して学び続けることができました。国際教養学部には、興味があることを幅広く学びながらも自身の専門性を身につけられる環境が整っていると思います。From Faculty Memberコンセントレーション名American StudiesEconomicsEuropean StudiesGlobal GovernanceHistoryInternational RelationsLinguisticsLiteratureMathematical SciencesMedia StudiesPolitical Economy of International Development幅広い学問分野を学ぶことができるSILSにおいて、特定の分野を体系的に学んでいきたいという学生のために設けられた制度です。各コンセントレーション（分野）が指定する科目を必要単位数修得した場合に、卒業時に当該コンセントレーションの修了証明を受けることができます。各学期50名超、2020年3月時点で、延べ約250人が修了しています。10
