There's a world of ideas available to you at SILS, so I encourage you to engage and challenge yourself to broaden your perspective. The longer I teach, the more I'm convinced this is key to improving our relations with one another. Likewise, think of your time at SILS as a chance to, as Hannah Arendt said, "think what we do." Given the uniquely diverse environment SILS provides, there may not be a better chance to make this happen.本クラスターの一例として、以下のような内容を学ぶことができます政治・平和・人権・国際関係政治学、法学、平和、人権、マイノリティ論、国際関係、国際機関など国際教養学部 教授SEUL, TimothyExpression近現代の日本文学を英語で教えています。日本の文学作品（たまには漫画も！）を英語で読むというのは、なんだか奇妙に思われるかもしれません。しかし、そうすることによってさまざまな国からきたクラスメートたちと、日本について議論をすることができます。国際的な環境のなかで、日本に対する新しい見方を身につけていくことができるのです。そんなことができる場所は、今の日本にそうたくさんはないと思います。国際教養学部 教授榊原 理智6本クラスターの一例として、以下のような内容を学ぶことができます美術、映像、演劇、音楽、芸術、文学、メディア論、建築など表現Culture, Mind and Body, and Community中国語のほかに、移民やディアスポラについての授業で教えています。専門は移民研究です。華僑華人、無国籍者や重国籍者など国家のはざまにいる人々に焦点をあて、彼らの視点から国籍、パスポート、アイデンティティなどについて考える授業をしています。中国語の授業では、言葉の習得はもちろん、中国語圏の文化についても紹介しています。学生たちには、学んだことを実践で生かせるようになってほしいです。国際教養学部 教授陳　天璽7本クラスターの一例として、以下のような内容を学ぶことができます文化　比較文化・ジェンダー論・カルチュラルスタディーズ・社会学・人類学など心身　心理学・哲学・身体論・健康・セラピーなどコミュニティ　都市・地域・コミュニティ・グローバル社会・NPO/NGOなど文化・心身・コミュニティCommunication5本クラスターの一例として、以下のような内容を学ぶことができます言語、コミュニケーション、外国語教育などコミュニケーション国際教養学部 教授DETEY, Sylvain Matthieu JulienStudents interested in developing an ‘international’ mindset must understand the mechanisms behind the process of communication. Linguistics is the discipline which examines the nature, structure and functions of language, with applications ranging from language education to speech processing systems, through discourse analysis. In SILS, students can also learn more than two languages, since plurilingualism is crucial for study-abroad, job-hunting and graduate studies, in a Content and Language Integrated Learning approach.05
