In this program, if students obtain more than a certain number of credits from a list of specified classes, then he/she can receive a certificate indicating that he/she has completed this Concentration. While studying a broad range of subjects in the liberal arts curriculum, students can in this way deepen their knowledge of a particular field or area.The following concentration courses are available in the academic year 2018.● American Studies ● European Studies ● Global Governance● History ● International Relations ● Linguistics ● Literature● Mathematical Sciences ● Political Economy of International Development ● Economics ● Media StudiesExamples of APM Program Courses● Understanding Chinese Politics(Held in Chinese and English)● Understanding French Politics( Held in French and English)● Understanding Korean Society(Held in Korean and English) ● Understanding Political Economy and Economic Language in the Spanish-speaking World(Held in Spanish and English)PICK UPAPM ProgramFrom 2017, SILS has started the APM program (Area Studies and Plurilingual/Multicultural Education Program). This program is held in French, Spanish, Chinese and Korean and focuses on not only acquiring the language, but also includes CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) where students learn about the target country’s culture, history, economy and politics from different angles in that target language. Also a 1 year study abroad program links with this APM program and you may choose to study abroad in the target country, leading to a deeper knowledge. We aim to foster human beings that will embody "International Liberal Arts" and who have not only English skills, which is the lingua franca of SILS, but also plurilingual and multicultural skills allowing students to understand plural cultures.Career Support We offer a wide variety of events throughout the year.
