There are several research elds from majors in global society and policy sciences that are available for instruction in English. Students are suggested to choose one of the English-taught research fields at the time of application. The professor in charge of the chosen research eld will work as an academic advisor until the program is completed. Master’s program students will also be allowed to take the regular Japanese-taught courses as well as those taught in English if their Japanese language proficiency could meet certain level. Doctoral program students will not be required to take any courses except “Introduction to Research Ethics”, and will be expected to carry out their own research activity receiving research guidance from their academic advisor. The AO admission screening method will be applied to the selection of applicants for the English-taught degree program.
