3GSICCS | Why GSICCS?Why GSICCS?Explore how current students are attracted to the academic life at GSICCSI chose GSICCS because of its diverse student body and faculty. Also, because I wanted to try a more interdisciplinary approach in my research, and the variety of themes that can be learned at GSICCS allowed that.In my opinion, the most attractive thing about GSICCS is its diversity: people of different ages who come from different countries, have different cultural backgrounds, elds of study, work experiences, and so on. Students are enthusiastic in sharing ideas and learning about different cultures, which I nd very impressive.Unlike other programs in other universities, GSICCS offers courses related to various aspects of communication including media, culture, politics, psychology, and linguistics, which shows that the school has a visionary view towards communication in global society. I believe that I will gain lots of valuable experience, professional guidance, and training, as well as international friends who share the same interests, from GSICCS.GSICCS is a stimulating environment thanks to the diversity of the faculty and the students alike. The research topics are diverse, but we all have common points in our interest in Japan and academic research. GSICCS has a warm atmosphere where you can interact casually with the faculty and make friends from all over the world. I was looking for a multicultural academic environment where I could pursue my postgraduate studies in English. Choosing English provided me with an alternative viewpoint that gave my academic voice more objectivity and a wider impact.
