早稲田大学大学院 経済学研究科4 本研究科の教育目標には、研究者養成と高度専門職業人育成の2つの柱があります。従来の個別研究指導に加えて合同研究指導、紀要の整備、学会報告のための奨励金など様々な改革を行った結果、ここ数年で経済学博士の学位を取得する学生の数が飛躍的に増加し、研究者養成の実を挙げています。また、時代の変化に呼応して多様な学生を国内外から迎え入れるために9月入学・9月卒業が制度化され、それに伴い英語による一貫した指導が可能になりました。日本だけでなく世界に開かれた大学院として、研究・教育の一層の充実を図ることが使命の一つであると考えています。 一方、高度専門職業人の養成も今日的課題です。本研究科においても修士課程を卒業して就職する学生が増えてきました。多様なニーズに対応してどのようなプログラムやカリキュラムを提供できるかを検討し続け、2013年度から経済ジャーナリズムコースの設置を決定しました。政治学研究科との共同事業として出発した国際政治経済学コースも一層の充実を図るべく新たなプログラムが実施されます。 様々な方向へ研究・教育の高度化が図られなければならない時代にあって、我々は多様なニーズへの適切な対応と研究・教育機会の提供もまた重要な課題として位置づけ、制度改革を続けています。経済学研究者として、また経済学を活用する専門職業人として、世界に羽ばたこうとする人材を広く募ります。メッセージ「世界に羽ばたく人材に」Message“Spread your wings around the world ! ”The Graduate School of Economics has two goals: to train researchers and to create highly skilled professionals.Owing to the implementation of a program of improvements, such as joint research supervision, maintenance of a bulletin, and incentives for reporting at academic conferences and related events, in addition to the revitalization of individual research supervision, the number of students taking doctorate programs in the study of economics has increased dramatically in recent years. The School has achieved excellent results in its efforts to train researchers.In response to the changing needs of students worldwide, the School has implemented a September graduation and admissions system. This has allowed a greater number of domestic and overseas students access to our programs. Additionally, it is now possible for students to study in English throughout the year. We consider it one of our priorities to provide education and research opportunities to students not only from Japan, but from around the world.�������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������We continue to consider what kinds of programs we can provide in order to meet our students’ needs. As a result, we have decided to establish an Economic Journalism program, beginning 2013.
