Alumni reunites at the 51st Homecoming Day and Tomonsai Festival

October 23 was Waseda University’s 51st Homecoming Day, an event inviting alumni in their 15th, 25th, 35th, 45th, and 50th year after graduation.

In addition to Homecoming Day, the Tomonkai (Waseda Alumni Association) held Tomonsai, a festival for Waseda alumni, friends, and family. The festival theme this year was “Welcome to Waseda Wonderland.” Planned by current students and local Tomonkais, the festival was host to a number of events including performances by the Latin American Association and Waseda Hula Girls, WASEDA for KIDS, and the Alumni Music Festival. There was also a panel discussion by recognized alumni athletes and trainers in which they discussed the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Furthermore, Vision 150 planned a lecture on eliminating discrimination and prejudice against LGBTQ students.
