The "Intelligent Cluster Creation Project" (2002-2007) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science

The purpose of this project is to reduce the electric power consumption by 1/100 of the current product's one in the area of multimedia information processing such as video,image,audio and text. New innovative technologies will be developed to achieve this goal.

IPS has been running a project on software engineer training program on the Basic Software for System LSI design committed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and
Technology: the Basic Software for System LSI Design. Over five years, we expect to turn out 30 PhDs and 140 masters.
