
Waseda University accommodation for overseas researchers is listed below. The numbers under ‘Eligibility for use’ indicate the order of priority at each facility.
If there is room available, those who are not eligible can use the facility.

- Applications are received at STEP 21 Office, Waseda University Property Management Inc. between 09:00 to 17:00 weekdays. Telephone numbers: 03-5285-3015 (direct) or 79-5631 (extension).
- Those who are eligible for the accommodation are required to complete the formal application procedures at Waseda (for approval at meetings of each department, such as faculty meetings).
- Reservations cannot be made less than five working days of the first day of occupancy.
- If the first day of the reservation period (six months prior to the day of arrival) is a Saturday, a Sunday, a holiday or a school holiday, a reservation may be made on the following day (or the first day after the end of school holidays).
- The accommodation capacity of any given room may not be exceeded. For those who wish a family room, only spouse and children are allowed to stay. For the capacity of each room, please visit the website of each facility.
-Acquaintances are not allowed to stay.

In principle, the host faculty member is required to contact the office mentioned below to inquire as to the availability of rooms and the allowable period of stay for visiting researchers.

2)Reservations:
Upon completion of a tentative reservation by telephone, an application form will be sent to the host faculty member by campus mail.
Please complete and return the form (stamped with a seal) to >STEP 21 Office, Waseda University Property Management Inc. by campus mail. The reservation will be completed upon receipt of the application form.
Note: The International Office will make reservations and file the application form on behalf of Exchange Researchers.
Note: All persons who do not hold the status of “Visiting -” must process an application with the International Section before making a tentative reservation.
Note: Those persons with the status of "Visiting -" must submit a signed Employment Contract.
-Those who are not eligible:
Those who are not eligible according to the list above, but who intend to participate in an international conference held at Waseda or in a joint research project with Waseda faculty,
can reserve some of the accommodation for short stays (less than 3 months).
The details and reservation periods are as follows:
Someya International House:
Three rooms are available and can be reserved within six months prior to, but at least five working days before, the first day of occupancy.
Guest House Kikuicho, Waseda Hoshien International House, and Waseda STEP 21: Can be reserved within two months prior to, but at least five working days before, the first day of occupancy
Court Nishi-Waseda:
not available.
The application procedures for those who are not eligible should be the same as the procedures for those eligible, except for the timing of the beginning of the reservation.
