Globalization has progressed at such a rate that society has become an ever increasingly smaller place in which to live. From overseas travel, foreign study, to working abroad, international exchange between cultures is now a part of our daily lives.
On the other hand, the divide between Japan and the many countries around the world afflicted by issues of terrorism, public security, and hygiene couldn’t be stronger.
This exhibition is a collection of photographic works taken by Waseda university staff dedicated to relaying images of people and landscapes from 51 countries and regions around the world, including Syria, Namibia, Tuvalu, Colombia and Cuba.
Many of the works feature the smiles of children, which are certain to bring a joy to anyone`s face.
It should be noted that this exhibition follows on from previous exhibitions held at Shimokitazawa in April 2014 and November 2015. This latest exhibition will be the third exhibition of its kind.
We urge all Waseda students, faculties and visitors to show your support by participating in the exhibition.
