At Waseda University, there are a number of students with disabilities of various types.
Each of the students with disabilities and the supporting students are rich in character, so it is stimulating, and the Office is vibrant every day.
Some may feel awkward approaching the word “support.” For students with disabilities, however, it is a “method” to gain access to the environment at an equal level to the other students. For the supporting students, it is a “trigger” for them to start something new. This “support” is an integral part of and common practice in everyday life at Waseda University.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are having any problems. We will do our best to support your studies.
We are also always looking for students who are willing to cooperate in our supporting activities. If you have any interest at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to meeting you.

This department was established to support the diverse learning-styles of students with developmental disorders. Through interviews with the student support coordinator, students think about ways that they themselves can deal with difficulties in their academic learning, as well as to endeavor to better understand their traits and improve their skills, and where reasonable special arrangements are necessary, we make arrangements upon discussion with the department or graduate school to which the student belongs, or their course instructors. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are having any academic difficulties.
