There is no upper age limit to apply for the program.

Regarding the program opened in 2024, it is not a program for first-time learners of Japanese. Please check the “Program Guidelines” about the level of the program.

You can apply as long as you qualify the requirements.

You need a guarantor regardless of your age. Even if you are paying school expenses by yourself, a guarantor is necessary.

All application documents should be submit together. As for preparing the certificate, it may take sometime to obtain all necessary documents, thus please make sure to have enough time for preparation of the documents.

When you are enrolled at the Waseda University, you will need to possess a valid passport and a valid VISA （Not necessary for certain nationality ）. For the VISA application procedure, please contact the embassy by yourself.

There are no scholarships for the students of this program. Therefore, students must not base their decision to attend on the assumption that they will be able to receive a scholarship.
