Latin Festa Supporters Wanted!
The International Community Center is now looking for supporters
to help organize the Latin Festa, which is scheduled to be held in early July.
We want to produce a wide variety of events which can make participants
feel the true essence of Latin countries.
If you are from a Latin country, if you know a lot about Latin America,
if you are interested in culture, sports, history or food, etc,
if you have ever been to Latin America or want to go there --
anyway, if you think you would enjoy the Latin Festa --
why don't you help create some events with us?
Let's make some great events that are not only fun, but can
help people learn about Latin countries as well!
●ICC Latin Festa
Festa Period: July 2 - July 13, 2007
Place: ICC (1st floor, Okuma Garden House), and other places (tbc)
Purpose: To help students feel the essence of Latin countries and learn about
their cultures, histories, etc. through various events.
●Supporters Wanted
Recruitment Period: June 4 - 11
Activity Period: June 13 - July 13
Eligibility: Waseda students, faculty and staff members
Expected Tasks:
(1) Planning and drafting projects
(2) Organizing events, including finding sponsors, devising detailed
plans for the actual running of events, preparing necessary equipment
(3) Producing and distributing advertisements for these events
(4) Managing the running of events, including setting up,
hosting and cleaning up after each event
(5) Writing up event reports
●Prerequisites:
(1) Sense of responsibility
(2) Motivation
* Some knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese or foreign languages, and computer
skills, especially in using Power Point, are welcome.
*There are two types of supporters, determined by the amount of time
and effort a supporter is able to commit to this activity. "Core
supporters" are those who can spend a lot of time preparing detailed
plans and hosting activities, while other
supporters are those who
partially help with preparation and/or come in on the day of each event to
help out.

(5) Experiences or interests related to Latin America
(6) Activities you want to organize
The 1st Supporters Meeting will be held at 12:15 - 12:55 pm, Wednesday,
June 13 at the ICC.
