Singa Cafe
ICC Singa Cafe, the first "Visitor Session", welcomed 23 students from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. It was the first time for the ICC to host a cafe with such a large number of guests from a specific overseas institution to interact with Waseda students. NTU students were amazed by the variety of Waseda students ,variety in terms of majors and nationalities, who came to talk to them. Waseda students were not only inspired by the conversations but they were also able to make some connections with students from Singapore. The cafe started with a self-introduction of each participant. Then, two group leaders of NTU gave a presentation to share what they learned through their company visits in Japan (Olympus and NTT Docomo). This was followed by an informal discussion in small groups. Many meaningful friendships were forged and goodwill was developed through this two-hour visitor session.
Voices of Participants:
"I'm satisfied with the ample chances to speak with NTU students in English." "It was quite helpful to have a name tag because you know everyone's name without asking." "I was able to learn a lot about Singapore and its status quo of the business world. This would help me to make my dream of working in Singapore come true."
NTU students are so energetic!
We are happy to come to Japan and Waseda!
Presentation in a relaxed atmosphere.
