Russian Cafe

ICC Russian Cafe, the first event of a series of events with the theme "Festive Season all-around-the-world" attracted around 50 people, including Russian students and those who are interested in Russia. We were also delighted to welcome the Councillor for Cultural Affairs from the Embassy of the Russia Federation. The Cafe started with a ballet video show. Everybody loved the blueberry and cassis jam for the tea! The open cafe time was very cozy and accompanied by lively conversations; some students from Russia talked in fluent Japanese while some local students talked in good Russian!

Voices of Participants:

"I was able to learn real Russian, a little.", "It was great to meet people who are also interested in Russia.", "I was so glad to be able to communicate in Russian which I have been studying as my third language." "I was very nervous at the beginning, but we enjoyed talking at the end. I’d like to try some Russian games next time." "It might have been better if we could have moved between tables."

Jam glass jars sponsored by Chaika, a Russian Restaurant.

Taste of home!

Even a cutie Russian joined with mom.
