HAWAIIAN NITE "HULA SHOW"

Talk Session by Takashi Ichikura from Hawai‘i Tourism Japan
Mr Ichikura provided insight into the less well known aspects of Hawaiian tourism including nature, various activities and also cultural elements.

Next summer, we’re  going to Hawaii! (^^♪

Gorgeous color brochures

There are various styles of Hula, many of which were performed on the night.

The dancing element of Hula expresses the chants, which are called “Mele”. Understanding this adds to the overall enjoyment of Hula.

“The Naleio” provided the tunes that perfected the Hawaiian atmosphere.

There was also a chance for participants to try dancing Hula for themselves. With “fishing” as a theme, Hula movements representing waves and fish were learnt.

Looking fabulous wearing traditional outfits.

The rice crackers were popular amongst all participants – regardless of age!
