Caffe Italiano & Cafe Francais

ICC Caffe Italiano and Cafe Francais were held at the same time on Thursday, November 16. The topic was "My favorite place in Italy/France". Some people shared their nice memories of traveling or living in these countries, and some even brought some photographs. Then again, some students mingled around and joined both cafes. Caffe Italiano was coordinated by a young researcher from Italy, while Cafe Francais was coordinated by a professor of UNIVERSITE Paris-Sorbonne. More than 80 people joined the cafes. Various languages including Japanese, English, Italian, and French were spoken throughout the lounge. Participants seemed to have a great time talking to each other over a cup of tea or coffee.

Voices from participants:
"The theme was quite general so that everybody was able to talk." "I wanted the cafe to last longer!"
"I couldn't talk much, but would like to come again." "My motivation to study French became higher!"

Pictures taken in Paris help talks.

More than 100 participants took part in the cafes.
