Japanese Drum Live!

A great chance to see a dynamic live Wadaiko performance! A drumming workshop will also be held after the performance.
Wadaiko (Japanese drum)
The Japanese "Wadaiko" differs from an average "Taiko" (drum) because of its capacity for producing an extremely large reverberating sound. It is said that in the Jomon Era, it was used as a means of communication. Today, "Wadaiko" is
often performed at various matsuri (festivals).
Date & Time: April 3rd (Fri), 3:00 pm - 4:30pm
(partial participation welcome)
Program: Live performance followed by drumming workshop
Place: 1st fl., Okuma Garden House (Bldg.25)
Eligibility: All Waseda students, faculty and staff
Free Admission, registration not required

Performance by タヲ ~Tawoo~
Tawoo is a Wadaiko group founded by Kaori Asano in order to provide a place for people to enjoy playing Wadaiko.
