Eligibility: Waseda International Students
* It is recommended that participants have at least a basic
understanding of Japanese language, in order to communicate
with their homestay family.
Accommodation: Free!
Meals: Breakfast and dinner during homestay provided by homestay family.
Transport: Return cost of transport to homestay is the responsibility of the participant (for more details please ask at the ICC counter). A transportation subsidy will be provided by the ICC after completion of the homestay, (on presentation of a proper receipt) to the equivalent of half of the cost (maximum 15,000 yen).
* The travel subsidy is provided on the condition that the participant submits a report to the ICC within one week of completing the homestay.
How to apply: Please download an application form & written oath from the URL below, and hand them in at the ICC counter (be sure to indicate homestay preference/s on application form). In the case of a large number of applications, successful participants will be decided based on a random drawing, although priority given to students that have not participated in the homestay program previously. Please note that a short report is required to be submitted to the ICC on completion of the homestay.
