2008 marks the 150th anniversary of Franco-Japanese relations. Take this opportunity to celebrate French culture at the ICC, during "ICC Festival Français"!
◆French Photo Exhibition
We are currently accepting personal photographs taken in France, for display in the ICC Lounge during the course of ICC Festival Français. A complimentary snack will be given to everyone that submits a photo!
Period of display: Nov 22nd (sat) – Dec 20th (sat)
Venue: ICC, 1st Fl., Okuma Garden House
Eligibility: Waseda students, faculty, and staff members
Submission guidelines: Please attach your photo for submission to the official form (available for download from the URL below) during the period Nov 22nd (wed) – Dec 10th (wed), and hand-in to the ICC counter (kindly note that submitted photos cannot be returned).

◆Ooh la-la! French Hour with Finger Food!
Enjoy authentic French delicacies such as imported cheese and jam along with lively conversation... in French only!

Eligibility: Waseda students, faculty, and staff members
Language: French (level: beginners to advanced)

Registration method: Send an email to bonjour@list.waseda.jp indicating “French Hour” in the title with your name, affiliated school at Waseda, Student ID, school year, and the date you wish to attend (if you can join both dates, then list in order of priority). Also, please let us know if French is your mother tongue.

◆The World of French Cheese ～ Le Cafe Fromage ～
French cheese is known for its variety (literally hundreds of varieties exist), which can be confusing to the newcomer. During "Le Cafe Fromage", an expert in French cheese will give participants the lowdown on all there is to know about this fascinating aspect of French food culture. Cheese and wine samples will be served.

◆French Film Screening: "Peau d'ane" (Donkey Skin)
Don't miss your chance to view this charming film adaptation of the fairytale, on the big screen at the ICC! Includes commentary, and Q&A session.

◆Cartonnage Craft Workshop
Cartonnage is a type of traditional French craft that involves decorating boxes, and other objects. During this workshop, we will be decorating a photo frame, which will be yours to keep. Assisting us will be a teacher experienced in the art of Cartonnage.

Language: Japanese (with French and English assistance as required)

For many of us, Paris is one of the main associations that we make with France. However as you will find out through this event, regional France also holds its own special charm and beauty. Learn more about the French world outside of its capital, direct from French students that come from those regions, and also Japanese students that have studied there. A rare insight into regional French culture!
