Advanced Screening of "Assembly"
(A film by FENG XIAOGANG) & Student Discussion

"Every sacrifice deserves to be immortalized"
Based on a true story, "Assembly" is set during the Chinese civil war, and tells the story of a captain's fight to gain recognition for his comrades who are killed in battle.
"Assembly" featured at the 21st International Tokyo Film Festival, and received a number of awards at the 45th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan.
After the screening, a student discussion on themes relating to China's past and future will be held in Japanese at the same venue.
Date: Jan. 10th (sat), 2009
Doors open at 1:15pm, Movie starts at 1:30pm
* The student discussion is scheduled from 3:45-4:30pm, and will begin shortly
after the film finishes.
Venue: Waseda University Building 14, Room no. 102
Capacity: 290 (admission accepted on a "first-come, first-served" basis)
* Pre-registration is not required. Please come directly
to the venue on the day.
Doors will close after capacity is reached. Please follow the directions of staff on the day.
Eligibility: Waseda students, Faculty, Staff members, and the general public
Fees: Free
Language: Chinese with Japanese subtitles
