Field Trip to Chichibu
Let's find the beauty of Japanese nature & experience Soba-making
What comes to mind when you think of "Japanese Autumn"? Colored leaves? Exercising? A good appetite? Well, all of these are true! How about enjoying them all at once with people from all around the world? This Field Trip is brought to you by the ICC and Student Study-abroad Advisers. Students will enjoy not only the beauty of the autumn scenery and Japanese food, but also make new friends with fellow participants. Don't miss out!
Date & Time ：November 29th, 2008 (sat) 7:30am-7:00pm
Itinerary (tentative):
7:30am Meet at Okuma Auditorium → Depart by bus
10:30am Experience making "Soba" noodles & lunch @ Komatsuzawa Farm
* At Komatsuzawa Leisure Farm, make your own soba from
buckwheat flour and eat what you've made for lunch.
1:00pm Depart from Komatsuzawa Farm
1:30pm Riverboat ride at Nagatoro Gorge
* Enjoy great views of Nagatoro gorge in autumn!
3:00pm Arrive at Mt. Hodo by cable car; hiking & zoo visit
* We will go to the top of Mt. Hodo by cable car, and enjoy
the beautiful autumn scenery. After arrival, you will have
time to walk around and also see the animals in the zoo.
4:30pm Depart from Mt. Hodo
7:00pm Arrive at Okuma Auditorium

★This trip is kindly subsidized by the university.
★In addition to the sightseeing, there will be many opportunities to
interact with other participants and make new friends, including a "Pre-
Trip Cafe" (details to be announced soon).

Application deadline: Nov. 12th (wed) 5:00pm
* In the case of a large number of applications a random
lottery will be held to decide participants, with the results
being announced by email on Nov. 13th (thu). Successful
applicants are kindly requested to pay their participation
fee by Nov. 18th (tue).
Fees : 3,000 yen
Including transportation (charted bus), Soba-making
and lunch, boat-ride, cable car, zoo admission
