"Volleyball & Basketball Fun Tournament"
Attention sports fans!!
Tired of the lack of facilities available to enjoy your favorite indoor sport in Tokyo? Lacking the funds required to pay the exorbitant rental fees to secure time in a gymnasium? Like basketball or volleyball?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above, then this might be the event for you!
We are currently looking for participants for the ICC's first sport
event for 2008 - "Volleyball and Basketball Fun Tournament".
As the title "Fun Tournament" suggests, the main purpose of this
event is "cultural exchange while enjoying sports", so players of
all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome.
*Free chilled milk for all participants after the game!
Date & Time: June 27th, 2008 (Fri.) 7:00-10:00pm.
Venue: Indoor gym at the Shinjuku Cosmic Sport Center
Eligibility: Waseda students, faculty & staff members
Fees: 200 yen (gym rental fee)
Capacity: <Volleyball - Still places remaining.> Volleyball: around 50 participants
< Basketball - Full. Thank you!> Basketball: around 50 participants
*Registrations accepted on a first come first served basis
Registration: Send an email to north-america@list.waseda.jp with "ICC Sports" in the title, and in the text body please provide the following information:
1. Name
2. Affiliated school (at Waseda) and current school year
3. Sex
4. Telephone number
5. Email address
6. The sport you want to participate in (volleyball or basketball)
7. Your experience in that sport (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
8. Height
9. If you chose basketball, your position (if any)
Deadline: June 25th, 2008 (Wed) 5:00pm
(registrations will close after capacity is filled).
A confirmation e-mail with further details will be sent to all registrants.
* Please note that participants are unable to select their own teams
