"Tales of a ranger"
A comparison of American and Japanese national parks &
a look at volunteering for American national parks
There are currently around twenty thousand rangers working in national parks in America, compared to around 250 in Japan. Also, the combined area of all of America's national parks put together is around the same size as Japan as a whole!
In this final part of the North American Festival national park series of events, we are excited to welcome Mr. Suzuki Wataru from the Ministry of the Environment to share with us his experience working as a park volunteer for 2 years, and also to discuss and compare national parks in America and Japan.
Date & time: 7th Jul (mon), 17:00 - 19:00 (partial participation welcome)
Place: International Community Center (1st floor, Okuma Garden House)
Eligibility: Waseda students, faculty, staff members, and the general public

Mr. Wataru Suzuki
Mr. Suzuki works for the Ministry of the Environment, and is currently posted to the Tohoku (north-east) region of Japan.
